Broad Meadow
Step into the lost nature of Broadmead with a wildflower installation and audio experience by artists Sylvia Rimat and Charli Clark.

Imagine a tranquil wildflower meadow flanked by trees amidst the hustle and bustle of Bristol’s built-up shopping centre, Broadmead. After the success of 2024, artists Sylvia Rimat and Charli Clark have created a new version of Broad Meadow bringing that very dream to life.
Smell the sweet scent of flowers, hear the buzz of wings and submerge yourself in the lost nature of our city centre. You’re invited to take a seat and relax in a wildflower meadow and tree installation that gives you a taste of what life used to be like in Broadmead.
Whilst immersed in the plants and wildlife around you, you can access an audio piece via your smartphone that describes our intertwined relationship with the plant world and connects us to the wet meadow and woodland that once thrived where Broadmead now sits.
